Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA)

Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree Course is introduced for those who have passed +2 or equivalent examination to acquire Degree in Fine Arts. The duration of the course is 4 years. The 1 st year of the course is termed as common course and the remaining 3 years are allocated for specialization in painting, Sculpture or Applied Art. These specialized branches in the 2 nd year will be offered based on their aptitude. The selection will be made on the basis of an entrance examination. First and Final year examination will be conducted by the Universities to which the colleges are affiliated while the 2 nd and 3 rd year examinations by the respective colleges.

(a) College of Fine Arts, Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram-695 033 affiliated to University of Kerala with intake of 43 students.

(b) Raja Ravi Varma college of Fine Arts , Mavelikkara-690 101 affiliated to University of Kerala with intake of 40 students.

(c) College of Fine Arts, Thrissur-680 020 affiliated to University of Calicut with intake of 40 students.

Eligibility

(a) Candidates must have passed +2 or equivalent Examinations.

(b) Candidates should have completed 17 years of age and must be below 27 years.

Fees

• I. Admission Fees Rs. 50

• II. Tuition Fees Rs. 1200 per year (Payable in two installments)

• III. Special Fees Rs. 660 per year

• IV. Caution Deposit Rs. 250

The fees structure is subject to modification as per Government decision.

Eligible students are provided with fee concision.
